Pain Medication Guide
A practical, evidence-aligned guide to common medicines for low back pain and sciatica, including benefits, limits, and safety questions.
Medication can make sleep, walking, or rehabilitation more tolerable. It does not identify the pain source, rebuild capacity, or prove that an activity is safe. Before taking a medicine, define a functional goal: for example, “sleep for six hours” or “complete three short walks.” Then reassess whether the benefit is large enough to justify the risks.
